Sharing Is Caring

Lord, I just want to share the beauty of Your love with everyone I encounter.

May Your words spoken through me kiss their soul.

May Your Spirit smother every hurt, every pain.

Bring a peace that will flow like a river and wash every fear and doubtful thought away.

Encamp around them through  their daily journeys.

May the dipstick of their joy read “full”.

And Your comforting power bring that racing mind to a complete stop.

That’s all.

Drop your limits here

We can talk ourselves out of just about anything. We can list a million reasons why we can’t or why we haven’t. We can talk ourselves right out of a blessing.

I don’t have the money.
I don’t have the time.
No one wants to listen to me.
That’s already been done.
My kids are my main focus.
School is a heavy load right now.
I’m too old.
I’m not smart enough.
My dad was a nothing, so I’m a nothing.

Blah. Blah. Blah.

Now, think about it. What if you actually tried? What if you actually faced your fear? What if you just did IT? Whats the worse that could happen….you actually succeed?! Geeze. Success??  I’ll take it! There’s nothing to it but to it.

Let me say this, there have been times when fear literally stopped me in my track. I would get myself hype and say “today is the day”. Then when it was time to do xy and z, I failed. I would be so disappointed in myself because I would put off and put off. Then one day I finally did what I was afraid of doing. Come to find out, it wasn’t scary at all. Once I started, everything flowed. Why? Because everything that I need is in me. I have what it takes to get the job done. And you know what?? YOU DO TOO!!!!

So what limits are you putting on yourself? Please drop them here…

No longer will you hold yourself back. No longer will you doubt your abilities. No longer will you speak or think negatively. No longer will you limit yourself. You are what you think. Think greatness. Speak greatness. Go and be great!

Be free

Last night I went to prayer/bible study with a heavy heart.  My heart was hurting and I needed God to rid me of the pain.  I was determined to go into prayer to leave this at His feet.  I just knew that I was going to cry out to God on my behalf, but as I started to pray, I started to intercede for those that caused me this pain.  I began to lift them up and found that the more I cried out for them, the lighter I felt.  By the end of prayer, the hurt that I was carrying around was no longer there.

I am free!!

If you’re reading this and you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, there’s no better time like the present to invite Him into your heart and life. If you’d like to do this now, genuinely and sincerely pray this prayer…

Lord Jesus,
I truly believe that You are the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You and cannot save myself. Please forgive my wrongdoing and let me live in a relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior and believe that You have died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead and are alive and can hear my prayers. I invite You to rule in my life and in my heart from this day forward. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

We can’t worry and trust God

T R U S T  G O D
Even when it looks like all hope is gone.
Even when everything is going contrary to what you’re speaking.
When it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.
When you can’t see a way out.
When friends and family turn their backs on you.
When nothing makes sense.
When nights seem long.
When all you wanna do is cry.
When it’s hard to smile.
When it’s hard to get out of the bed in the morning.
When you feel like it’s getting worse rather than better.

Because truth be told, God is with you every step of the way. He said that He’ll never leave you nor forsake you. So, keep speaking. Keep believing. Keep trusting the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He’ll direct your paths. He is making a way for you. All things are working together for your good. Don’t doubt. Don’t fear. Jesus loves you and He cares. Trust. Trust. Trust. He won’t let you fall! His glory will be shown. It’s not your job to understand/know how He’s going to do it, but its your job to TRUST that He’s going to do it. He’s not a man that He should lie. His word will not return unto Him void. He’s got you! Be still and know that He is God.

*yawn*  whew! Where has the day gone?
Let me read my Bible and pray…10 minutes

Have you ever been to point where you close an app just to reopen it again? Or every time you unlock your phone, a social media app is the first thing you open? Yeah me too. And we wonder why we are so weak. We wonder why we can’t get a prayer through. We wonder why the troubles of the day/week have overwhelmed us. We have no power. We spend a few minutes of our day with the Source and expect Him to honor this. Negative! Now don’t get me wrong, social media alone isn’t bad. But when we decide to spend more time on it than with our Savior, that’s no good. We have now made it a god. We are now worshiping our phones/people.  When was the last time you took a break from social media? When was the last time you put your phone on silent and spent real intimate time with Christ? When was the last time you told him/her that you had to go because you had to get into your prayer closet?

Just like our phones, we need to be connected to a source to receive power. That source is Jesus. I challenge you and myself to spend more time in His presence. #ChallengeAccepted
#AreYouConnected
