Friday’s Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of life. Thank You for extending your grace and mercy upon us today. Thank You for being a Father of many nations. For taking care of all our needs. For keeping us out of harms way. We thank You for this day and will rejoice in it. We won’t rejoice because it’s Friday and it ends the work week or it’s payday. But we will rejoice because You are worthy of our praise. You are worthy of our time. You are worthy of our life. So help us to dedicate our life to You. Help us to walk in obedience to Your Word. Help us to rise in the morning with a thankful heart. You have been and continue to be good. Take us through this day. Guide us and keep us as we walk in Your will. May Your power, strength, joy, love, peace, patience, provision, and protection be with us. Help us to incline our ears to You so we can hear clearly. Your voice is so sweet. Help us to make room for You in our day and please You with our words and actions. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Gods Will Be done

Wondering how you can live in the will of God? 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 gives up a clue on how. We need to:

    Rejoice always -v16
    Pray continually-v17
    Give thanks in everything-v18
  • These three things will jumpstart your walk in God will. Practicing these daily will keep us lifted, guided, and thankful. Imagine practicing these things before complaining and becoming frustrated with life? How pleased would God be? I will try to keep this list before me today as I go through the day. Will you join me?

Don’t know how to pray? Pray this prayer…

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

    Ephesians 6:18-19

    Be free

Last night I went to prayer/bible study with a heavy heart.  My heart was hurting and I needed God to rid me of the pain.  I was determined to go into prayer to leave this at His feet.  I just knew that I was going to cry out to God on my behalf, but as I started to pray, I started to intercede for those that caused me this pain.  I began to lift them up and found that the more I cried out for them, the lighter I felt.  By the end of prayer, the hurt that I was carrying around was no longer there.

    I am free!!

If you’re reading this and you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, there’s no better time like the present to invite Him into your heart and life. If you’d like to do this now, genuinely and sincerely pray this prayer…

    Lord Jesus,
I truly believe that You are the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You and cannot save myself. Please forgive my wrongdoing and let me live in a relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior and believe that You have died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead and are alive and can hear my prayers. I invite You to rule in my life and in my heart from this day forward. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Thank You for saving me.
    In Jesus’ name,
    Amen.

We can’t worry and trust God

Even when it looks like all hope is gone.
Even when everything is going contrary to what you’re speaking.
When it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.
When you can’t see a way out.
When friends and family turn their backs on you.
    When nothing makes sense.
    When nights seem long.
When all you wanna do is cry.
    When it’s hard to smile.
When it’s hard to get out of the bed in the morning.
When you feel like it’s getting worse rather than better.

Because truth be told, God is with you every step of the way. He said that He’ll never leave you nor forsake you. So, keep speaking. Keep believing. Keep trusting the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He’ll direct your paths. He is making a way for you. All things are working together for your good. Don’t doubt. Don’t fear. Jesus loves you and He cares. Trust. Trust. Trust. He won’t let you fall! His glory will be shown. It’s not your job to understand/know how He’s going to do it, but its your job to TRUST that He’s going to do it. He’s not a man that He should lie. His word will not return unto Him void. He’s got you! Be still and know that He is God.

*yawn*  whew! Where has the day gone?
Let me read my Bible and pray…10 minutes

Have you ever been to point where you close an app just to reopen it again? Or every time you unlock your phone, a social media app is the first thing you open? Yeah me too. And we wonder why we are so weak. We wonder why we can’t get a prayer through. We wonder why the troubles of the day/week have overwhelmed us. We have no power. We spend a few minutes of our day with the Source and expect Him to honor this. Negative! Now don’t get me wrong, social media alone isn’t bad. But when we decide to spend more time on it than with our Savior, that’s no good. We have now made it a god. We are now worshiping our phones/people.  When was the last time you took a break from social media? When was the last time you put your phone on silent and spent real intimate time with Christ? When was the last time you told him/her that you had to go because you had to get into your prayer closet?

Just like our phones, we need to be connected to a source to receive power. That source is Jesus. I challenge you and myself to spend more time in His presence. #ChallengeAccepted
    #AreYouConnected
