Prolonged Seasons

My twin and I were talking about life and the topic of seasons came up. You can read all about seasons in Ecclesiastes 3:1-11. We both agreed that it’s important to know what season you are in. And if we have the ability to prolong a season (read about the children of Israel in Exodus 16), don’t we have the ability to shorten the length of a season by truly getting what God has for us in the time He needs us to get it? Now, don’t try and play God and say, “Yes, Jesus I got it. You can move me now.” Because He knows our end from our beginning. He knows the story of our lives. He knows if He can truly release us from one season to allow us to enter into a new one. So what are you holding up by procrastinating, you can release by doing what you’re putting off (ie. Forgiveness, good stewardship, positive attitude, etc). What you are holding up by being disobedient, you can release by being obedient . What you hold up by being out of order, you can release by getting in order. The length of the season you are in can very well be determined by your attitude, willingness, and submission to God. Learn what you need to learn and move on. It’s like being in school. Once you learn and pass a class, they promote you to the next grade. If you fail to complete assignments, fail tests, and don’t put the work in, you have to repeat the class or grade. Put the work into this season you are in and propel yourself to the next season. It’s up to you. May Gods will be done in your life.

A Romans 8 Mindset

I’m living life through the Spirit of Christ. Running this race without a doubt. I know that I am not bound by the law of sin. I am no longer condemned. I live freely through Christ. Accepting new life. I’ll live abundantly. I’ll live purposefully. I am free from the sin that weighed me down. Jesus conquered that when He shed His blood on the cross. Every drop of blood was for me. He died and rose on the third day so that I could live. He descended to Hell and conquered it too. He then ascended to heaven to sit on the right hand of God. He made life possible. His Spirit offers life, peace, hope, joy, and every promise in His Word. So I will continue to live by His Spirit that is greater than anything in this world.

Romans 8:1-17

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “ Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Ordered Steps

As I am preparing for my Friday, I’m talking to God to see what the game plan is going to be. I am going to take care of some business and thought about googling something. God has been telling me all week not to google and trust His direction. I haven’t googled but was strongly considering it tonight. Then I realized that if I did I would be many things and wrong would be one of those things. I repented and then followed with “Im just used to doing things…” before I could finish, He completed my sentence “on your own.”

He was right. When I am doing this particular task, I google. I plan what will be done then ask God to bless it. I had it totally backwards. And for someone who is constantly trying to consider Gods will over mine, I had to make sure I chose wisely. So I told God that I trust Him and I didn’t google. I will walk in the direction God sends me.

If you…we…acknowledge Him in all of our ways, He promised to direct our paths. Here’s to a Friday of ordered steps. ❤️

It’s Friday night and I feel alright!!

Hello beautiful people!! I hope we can all say that today was indeed a great day!

I have missed you all! I missed writing.  I missed sharing. I miss interacting. So I looked at my schedule and thought of a plan. This plan is to post at least once a week. The post will be up every Friday by midnight. I set this goal to help me get back into the swing of things. Truth be told I have a bunch of things that I wrote, but haven’t shared for one reason or another. The main reason being timing. Im all about sharing at the perfect time.

This Friday, May 12, 2017, Will start the party. Look for a fresh post every Friday thereafter. I have a few ideas rolling around in this head. So who knows what the topic of the day will be. But I can say that I have a whole lot to share. So stay tuned! Be blessed!
Remember… “you don’t have any problems. All you need is faith in God.”

As I grow

I do realize that I am a rare beauty (no I’m not laying on the horn lol), but The most beautiful thing about me is that I have a heart for God. Living a life that pleases Him is important to me and I strive for excellence when it comes to my walk. I am challenged daily to strengthen my walk with Him. Although I may slip up and fall at times, I am wholeheartedly pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling ( Philippians 3:14). In doing so there has to be a constant renewing of my mind (Romans 12:2). I can’t expect to move forward in newness when I am partaking in the old. My old self has died and been made new in Christ. How can a young believer stay pure? By living according to the word (Psalms 119:9).
