God has the juice

Quick story…
My 2 year old niece stayed the night with me. Like most toddlers, she took over the bed and invaded my space. lol. I slid her over to her side multiple times. But the last time I moved her little body, she opened her pretty eyes to look for me. She stretched out her hand and moved back over towards me. What I then realized was that she didn’t just accidentally wander to my side, it was more than that. She wanted to be held. She wanted to be close. Maybe she just wanted to feel loved? Maybe she felt protected? Whatever she longed for, she knew that I had it.
Long story short….GOD HAS WHAT YOU NEED!
I began to think, how often does God try to get our attention? How much would He love for us to just stop what we are doing and reach out to Him? Run to Him? Love on Him? Cry out to Him? Worship Him?
HE HAS WHAT WE NEED.
Get into His presence.

Worship.

Pray.

Fast.

Cry out.

Read the Bible.
Peace and Blessings.

I’ll forever Claim That You’re Still Good

Dear heavenly Father,
I come before You interceding for Your people. Someone is going through. Someone is having a hard time. Someone is down. But I come before You, God knowing that nothing that we face, is too big for You. Nothing that we face is too hard for You to fix. Nothing that has happened or is happening is news to You. You hold our world in Your hands. You know our endings from our beginning. You are a good Father. Help us to look beyond our fears, hiccups, and pain and push to give You the praise in the midst of it. Help us to worship from a deeper place. Help us to honor You with the fruit of our lips. Help us to hold on to Your word knowing that it won’t return void. Many things will change in this world, but one thing is guaranteed, You will remain the same. No matter what is going on, You remain good. No matter how we feel, You remain good. No matter the test, You remain good. In lack, You’re good. In sickness, You’re good. In sadness, You’re good. In the midst of the storm, You’re good. You’re good when all is going well and we will claim the same when we hit a trial. Lord, how mighty are You. Your thoughts and ways are higher than ours. Give us the patience that we need for you to complete a perfect work in us. Give us the joy that will be our strength. Give us the endurance to remain in the race. Give us the peace that will surpass all understanding. Give us Your Word, for it is true and dependable. We will forever give You the praise and the glory. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Slaves to a social scam (Who Are You?)

Who are you?
A person that is defined by the clothes you wear?
The latest car, latest watch, the style of your hair?
The fact that the world glorifies outward appearance is sad.
We are rated and categorized based on how well we perk our lips, raise our brow, and [snap]
You pause…
“Like”
“Like. Like. Like.”
“Like. Like. Like. Like. Like. Like”
Pops up on your screen.
You smile because this temporally raised your self esteem.
Don’t you know your worth?
Don’t you know you are a gem?
We have become slaves to a social scam.
We say “I don’t care what people think’…but are constantly worrying about what people think.
When will we realize the worlds opinion doesn’t matter.
How you feel about yourself when you look in the mirror is the only opinion that really matters.
Run away from the facade society created.
There’s more to you then the short skirt and heels.
Pick up your head, smile, and learn to love you.
You’ll never be happy if you wait for the validation of others.
You, my dear, are wonderfully and fearfully made.
You were created in Gods image.
Let me say that again….
YOU ARE WONDERFULLY AND FEARFULLY MADE.
YOU WERE CREATED IN GODS IMAGE!
The more you say it, the more you’ll believe it.
The more you believe it, the more you’ll see it.
So, Who are You?
YOU ARE a winner!
YOU ARE an overcomer!
YOU ARE a success!
YOU ARE beautiful!
YOU ARE smart!
YOU ARE a gem!
YOU ARE unique!
YOU ARE one of a kind!
YOU ARE more than a conqueror!
YOU ARE extraordinary!
YOU ARE an achiever!
YOU ARE fabulous!
YOU ARE dope!
YOU ARE kind!
YOU ARE fearless!
YOU ARE worth it!
YOU ARE worth loving!
YOU ARE more than enough!
YOU ARE destined for greatness!
YOU ARE fearfully and wonderfully made!
YOU ARE Gods masterpiece!

Be dope.

Always be dope. No, it has nothing to do with what you wear.nothing to do with how you wear your hair. It’s more than what you drive, live in, and own. But it has everything to do with how you treat your neighbors. How you love in spite of the situation…Or relation. It has everything to do with your heart. Beauty radiates from within. Being dope is about being you in a world that tells you be someone else. Be true to who God created you to be. You’re one of a kind. Created so uniquely. Walk to the rhythm of your own beat. And love that there’s only one of you in these streets. 😊 #BeDope #BeYou #BeLikeChrist #LoveLikeHimToo #Love #LoveYourself #Dope #Dopeness #Jesus #JesusSaves #Blogger #PenAndPaper #Writer #Inspiration #RandomThoughts #Encouragement

Why you acting brand new??

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Just in case you don’t know, let me tell you …

I didn’t truly love and embrace Jessica until my relationship with Christ grew. So as I read  this scripture, I’m reminded of some things that I once did. But like the scripture says, because I have Christ I am new. Now, don’t think for a minute that once I accepted Christ everything about about me changed right away. No. I had to reprogram.

No longer do I crave the attention

No longer do I thrive off compliments.

No longer do I struggle with low self esteem.

No longer do I live my life based on the opinions of others.

No longer do I desire to be a Jones.

No longer do I hide pain behind this smile.

No longer do I put myself down.

No longer a slave to “likes”.

No longer do I struggle with my worth.
Nope.

So if act brand new, it’s only because I am. Now, I see myself through God’s eyes. And you know what? I’m pretty special.

Free To Be Me.

I didn’t fully grow to love myself until I grew in Christ. It wasn’t until I learned His word that I stopped believing and relying on the words of people. I so often held onto people’s words. Looked for that compliment. Reached to be seen. People pleased to be liked. Dressed to be noticed. Put down others to feel better. Avoided me because it was too hurtful. Too hurtful to deal with my insecurities. Too “complicated” to figure out how I could change. Too deep to start caring about others. Too numb to even care.

When I finally made up in my mind that I wanted more of Jesus, the deliverance started to take place. When I seeked Him more, my attitude changed. The more I read His word, the more I lived His word. My thoughts changed. My walk changed. My talk changes. Soon I began to look in the mirror and love what I saw. Soon I began to believe. Believe what He said about me. No longer did I need the words of people to validate me. Nope! I was free. Free from broken relationships. Free from selfishness. Free from pain. Free from shame. Free from hurt. Free from the feeling of not being enough. Free from ME!

Conversations with God Pt. 2

Me: Lord, why do I seem to come off so strong when I meet someone? Why is it that I “fall in love” with people so easily? What is it? Is it *I begin to list a bunch of things trying to pinpoint it*

God: No! You have what they need. You have Me. Keep doing what you are doing. Give them love. Give them ME.

Me: *wipes single tear away* *smiles* ok, God. Ok. I love You!

I am so amazed by His love.  Love conquers all!

Your beautiful self.

Beautiful. There are many definitions. But only one is true. Can you guess which one is the  true definition? You. Yupp, you got it! YOU! Your smile is radiating. Your presence is wanted. Your words are pleasant. Your hair is perfect. Without makeup, your still breathtakingly gorgeous. Your laugh is contagious.

I can see God now. Having to step back to admire His perfect work. Truly, He created a masterpiece when He created you. He looked and smiled, “This is My child.” Perfect are we in His sight. Precious, extraordinary, magnificent, and unique.

Why is it so hard for us to see the same in ourselves? Maybe our image of ourselves have been tainted by society. Maybe someone needed to feel better about themselves by putting you down. They have reprogrammed our way of thinking. Our self esteem was knocked down a notch with every word. We need this and that….We must do this and that in order for us to be considered beautiful. But PLEASE don’t give in. PLEASE don’t believe the lies. PLEASE don’t base your beauty off of how someone else looks or the opinions of people. Learn to see yourself how God sees you. Look at yourself through His eyes. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, allow those eyes to be yours.

What’s the definition of beautiful? You!
