I’m in too deep to quit now
I’m in too deep to stop trusting God
I’m in too deep to believe what people say
I’m in too deep to not obey
I’m in too deep to not fast
I’m in too deep to not pray
I must press towards the mark that was set for me
I must speak the Word in faith so I can see
Because my faith will produce miracles for all to witness
It’s about God getting the glory
It’s about His story
About how powerful and mighty He is
He can do an unlimited amount of things
He’s just looking for some people to trust Him
Be obedient and keep walking
So I’m here raising my hand in agreement
I’ll keep walking out this faith
Keep trusting God
He will do just what He said
Because He’s a promise keeping God
Why do we choose to take matters into our own hands? Why do we say, “Take a coffee break, Jesus. I have this one under control.” We forcefully take whatever we placed in His hands back. We send Him to our other issue(s) and keep this particular one because we feel we can handle it, it’s not that serious to give to God, or we are tired of waiting on God to work and think we can make things happen faster.
Let’s think for a moment. In life, we all have tried to fix one thing or another. When we did, we failed. Or we temporarily fixed the issue with our solution. I remember getting having an issue with my radiator in my car. It had a leak which caused my fluid to leak. Fixing it was about $350. I didn’t have that at the time. So I spoke to some people and they recommended putting an adhesive fluid in my radiator that will flow through and attach itself to the issue. If this worked, the leak would be fixed. But only for a moment. It would just buy me time until I replaced the radiator. But if I chose this route, the fluid of course doesn’t just stay in radiator, but the fluid will flow through the system. Now I would risk clogging up other parts of my car because of my quick and easy patch work.
Can you see where this is going? Taking the situation from God to fix it yourself will cause other areas in your life to be affected. Not only is your faith in God now rocky, but your trust is shaky. Your determination is now depleting. Your destiny has now taken a back seat to your now. We take our eyes off of the bigger picture to “fix” our now. By patching up our now, we hinder the blessing from flowing to our future.
The Bible says, “to acknowledge Me in all of your ways and I will direct your path. “It also reads, “cast all your cast into me.” The keys Word in both these verses is all. Not some. Not only the “big” things. Not just things that seem out of your reach. But ALL. Why does He want all of your ways and cares? Because His thoughts and ways are so much higher than ours could even be. His wisdom is too great. If we need to have surgery, we go to the hospital and lay down on the bed so the doctor can work on our bodies. But first they put us to sleep. Imagine taking the scalpel from the doctor while saying “I got this”. No you don’t have this. You will bleed to death if you make the wrong incision. Because you have no idea what you’re doing. The doctor has the schooling and knowledge to know that where they need to cut here. I need to do xyandz to fix this problem and make this person healthier.
So I say all of this to say, let God reign freely in your life. He has everything under control. Trusting Him is the best thing you can do in your life. He is God. A God that is able to do above all you can ask or think.
I had a conversation with God.
As I asked what to do, He responded with “a move”.
“Whew, that’s gonna take a step of faith,” I said.
“So step,” He replied. “Jump and watch Me catch you. You’ll end up in the land you’ve been praying to enter. A land that you envisioned. No longer do you have to stand on the other side of the gate as you dream. Now you can walk into all that you spoke and believed. You came to Me and I saw your heart. You put time in, you did your part. You allowed Me to be first in your life, so it’s now up to Me to add all of these things as I promised. It’s time for Me to do what I said, because you were obedient to everything I said. You followed My Word everyday. Even behind closed doors. Now, that’s integrity. That’s smart. You now have My heart. You desire to do My will over yours. I am pleased to give you more. Because I know that you will build My kingdom up and give Me the glory as I fill your cup. Thank you for being faithful to Me, My child.”
As I watched the sunset on January 31st, I couldn’t help but see the perfection of His beauty. I thought over my first month of 2018. Everyday was perfect. So my perfect days led to a perfect month. Gods glory was truly shown to me. His faithfulness was seen throughout the month. His beauty was radiating through the moments of each day. I rose with a will to seek Him. What I found was love, peace, joy, blessings galore, hope, love (can I say that twice?), obedience, sacrifice, ministry, perfecting of faith, abundance, and more. I found that when I am obedient to His will, I give God the opportunity to do the unexpected. What I found in my month, was being in His perfect will created perfect days which formed a perfect month.
Faith walk. Faith talks. I slip. I fall. Because I took my eyes off it all. I believe what I can’t see. Until someone comes and gives their opinion. When I listen, I must remain prayerful. They can’t see my vision. So if I let their word in, I slip. I fall. No more faith. Now it’s all based on what I see. There is no calculating when walking in Me(Christ). Trust and believe you are on the right path. Keeping going in Me. Keep growing in Me. What you see will not always be when you are walking with Me. Faith walks. Faith talks. Getting moving.
His grace is sufficient for me.
Even when I can’t see a way to forgive myself.
God steps in and confronts my heart.
Opens it up with a brand new start.
So I stop worrying whether or not He’s pleased.
His grace is sufficient for me.
***PLEASE READ LUKE CHAPTER 1 BEFORE READING THIS POST***
What can we learn from Luke 1?
- The Word of God will never fail. People will fail us. We may fail ourselves. Our jobs and this world will fail us, but the Word of God will NEVER fail. It will prosper! If there is no failure in the Bible, why do we question it? We have seen the Word of God come alive in our lives on many occasions. What makes us think it will fail us now? Has God changed? Nope! He remains the same. And guess what? His Word is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is no failure in His Word.
- Because of Zechariah’s obedience to Gods will, he was immediately blessed and received His voice back. Immediately. We know that following the will of God isn’t always easy, but we can see that there are blessings attached to obedience. Not only was he blessed to receive his voice, but Johns life can now fulfill the will of God because of his fathers obedience. When we are obedient, the blessings flow to those around you as well. Your church, home, children, job. Blessings will flow to everything that is connected to you, even strangers. Be obedient. Reap the blessings.
- Verse 45 shows us that faith makes things possible. Believing that God will do what He said is key! Our words create our world. Imagine the world that you would create for yourself if you spoke and stood on the Word of God and believed God is truly able to do EVERYTHING. What would happen if we stood on His Word and didn’t allow people or things to shift our thoughts from Him? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The more we read, the more our faith will come alive. Use your faith to change your life and access your blessings.
Johns life was predestined while in His mothers womb. But because His father was obedient, he was now able to walk out his purpose in life. This probably wouldn’t have been if He was named anything else. There is purpose attached to you. Once you accepted Christ into your life, you became a new creature in Him. Your old self was put off and you were made new. Now Christ’s name is attached to you and His power is in you. You can walk confidently in your purpose.
Moral of the story? Be obedient to the voice of God. ❤️
Tell me, what did you take from the story written in Luke 1? I would love to hear. Please comment. 😊
Can I be honest? Today was a day I had to choose to hold on to Jesus. Yes, choose. We have a choice to trust God and His word or not trust. When we trust, we wholeheartedly believe that God sees us and hears us when we make our request known to Him. Our choice to trust Him in the midst of the storm builds endurance and faith. When we choose not to trust, our storm seems to be a bit longer. Why? Because we now have taken our focus off of the King and placed our vision on what is going on. Instead of worshipping, we whine and complain. We look at other people’s lives and compare. When we get out of the posture of worship, our problems aggressively pounce on us leaving us feeling defeated, worried, stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. But when we stay in the posture of prayer and worship, we are renewed. We are given peace, joy, and endurance to keep us going. We are now depending on God and His infinite power to see us where we are and save us as His Word says He does. When we worship, it shifts our lives and causes it to align with Christ. Our worship produces change. Our worship keeps us sane. Our worship draws us closer to our Creator. When we are this close to Him, we have no choice but to focus on Him and His greatness. Our problems can’t live in His presence.
So while you wait on the Lord, I encourage you to be of good courage and keep walking with the Lord. He is making a way for you even now. Trust Him and believe that He will come through. When He does, it’ll be right on time. Don’t give up. Don’t complain. Don’t compare. His glory will be shown. Remember, His thoughts and ways are above ours. We may not understand the delay, but we understand that God has our best interest at heart. He loves us. Don’t be weary in well doing. Trust God. ❤️
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5 KJV
“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
Psalms 27:14 KJV
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Galatians 6:9 KJV
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
James 1:2-4 KJV
