Gods Will Be done

Wondering how you can live in the will of God? 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 gives up a clue on how. We need to:

    Rejoice always -v16
    Pray continually-v17
    Give thanks in everything-v18
  • These three things will jumpstart your walk in God will. Practicing these daily will keep us lifted, guided, and thankful. Imagine practicing these things before complaining and becoming frustrated with life? How pleased would God be? I will try to keep this list before me today as I go through the day. Will you join me?

  • “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

  • Solomon’s Prayer

1 Kings 8:56-60 gives us a great example of prayer. It teaches us what to pray for. Here’s an outline of Solomon’s prayer:

    1. Gods presence -v57
    2. Desire to do Gods will in everything -v58
    3. Help with each days need -v59
    4. Desire and ability to obey Gods decrees and commands -v58
    5. Spread of Gods kingdom to the entire world -v60

“Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses. May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in obedience to him and keep the commands, decrees and laws he gave our ancestors. And may these words of mine, which I have prayed before the Lord, be near to the Lord our God day and night, that he may uphold the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel according to each day’s need, so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God and that there is no other.”

    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭8:56-60‬ ‭NIV

    I hear you screaming.

    I see you reaching.

    I feel your heart.

    I am here.

    Me. God.

I am here and I hear.

I am your ever present help.

I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Come to me ALL who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.

    I am your comfort.

    I am your peace.

    I am your healer.

    I am your help.

    I am your strength.

    I am your joy.

    Remember, call to Me.

    I will answer.

    I will bring you out.

    I will deliver.

    Look to Me.

    I hear you screaming.

    I see you reaching.

    I feel your heart.

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭121:1-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    The Lords Prayer

Don’t know how to pray? Pray this prayer…

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:9-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    What I Heard

“Who am I? I am God! Introduce Me to your world. Let Me consume the areas you need Me to consume. I am here. I am moving. I am God. Remember this.”

“They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!””

    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:41‬ ‭NIV‬‬

For Those Desiring More of God

I read through Deuteronomy 8 today with my friends. God placed these questions on our hearts:

    1. Today, what am I (God) asking you to do? How can you walk in obedience today? (Verse 1)

    2. How will you be sure that you keep My commandments? (Verse 6)

    3. How does it feel to be chastened by God? (Verse 5)

    4. What is My (Gods) promise to you today for walking in obedience? (Verse 7-9)

Why did God put emphasis on today? Because He is looking for you (and me) to apply His Word to our lives immediately. Tomorrow may never come. So search His Word today for yourself. Study. Apply. Write as He speaks. Then use His Word to walk obediently through this wonderful Thursday.

    Can you live pure?

Today, in this day and time, is it possible to live pure? Sure it is. Will it be easy? No. Sometimes it will be a challenge. It will seem like 20 people will choose to go left and you will be the only person going right. When this happens, you’ll have to make a decision to walk the path your heart is set to follow and not switch directions (conform) because those 20 people went left. You must stand strong on the Word of God and know that you were called according to His purpose. You must not waiver and keep your eyes pressed on the mark set for the high calling. You must have a made up mind to live a life that is sanctified, holy, and honorable. You must be on a mission to hear Jesus say, “Enter in.”

    Living righteously

Living righteously allows us to walk in protection, provision, authority, life, diligently, abundantly, in freedom, joyfully, fruitfully, progressively, with strength, with patience, and with endurance. We long to hear the voice of God throughout our days. But the wicked do not seek to hear His voice or correction. The wicked walk according to flesh and fulfilling the lusts of flesh. The outcome is death. Living in correction brings honor. God brings correction to those He loves. He loves us enough to save us from the trap of death. So let us listen to the voice of God as He instructs us in our daily lives. This instruction births wisdom.

    Questions For Thought

As my friends and I read through 1 Thessalonians 1, these questions are dropped in our spirits. Feel free to study chapter and answer questions in your private study time. I would love for you to share your answers if you like.

    1. Who are you serving on a daily basis? Are you serving Me (Christ) or flesh? (Verse 9)

    2. What does it mean to wait for Jesus Christ to save us from wrath? (Verse 10)

    3. Why is it important to hear the Word with joy? (Verse 6)

    4. What have I chosen you to do? (Verse 4)

Share your answers in the comments. I’ll be waiting to hear!
