*yawn* whew! Where has the day gone?
Let me read my Bible and pray…10 minutes
Have you ever been to point where you close an app just to reopen it again? Or every time you unlock your phone, a social media app is the first thing you open? Yeah me too. And we wonder why we are so weak. We wonder why we can’t get a prayer through. We wonder why the troubles of the day/week have overwhelmed us. We have no power. We spend a few minutes of our day with the Source and expect Him to honor this. Negative! Now don’t get me wrong, social media alone isn’t bad. But when we decide to spend more time on it than with our Savior, that’s no good. We have now made it a god. We are now worshiping our phones/people. When was the last time you took a break from social media? When was the last time you put your phone on silent and spent real intimate time with Christ? When was the last time you told him/her that you had to go because you had to get into your prayer closet?
Just like our phones, we need to be connected to a source to receive power. That source is Jesus. I challenge you and myself to spend more time in His presence. #ChallengeAccepted
If you’re reading this and you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, there’s no better time like the present to invite Him into your heart and life. If you’d like to do this now, genuinely and sincerely pray this prayer…
I truly believe that You are the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You and cannot save myself. Please forgive my wrongdoing and let me live in a relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior and believe that You have died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead and are alive and can hear my prayers. I invite You to rule in my life and in my heart from this day forward. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus’ name,
